You might lose your customers quicker than the rest, having common names. Don’t forget being unique applies for everything and especially for your quality. Not only these but funky brand names (E.g.: Knoti, Muzic) that bypass the normal English words have also gained an upper hand in achieving popularity. Though these might not attract everyone in the population it has a strong effect on people 20-40 age span. We very well know they make up to more than 60% of the consumers. Remember the times you ran mad at search engines for not giving right websites on the list.Well one such thing happened to me last week.I was searching in Google for an article related to RSS feeds. I happened to go past a site which had no relation with the matter I was searching for. It had an article about RSS icons and provided a list of ten RSS icons which were looking really cool. I kind of liked the site so I just browsed through it and found many articles interesting. To my surprise I had actually spent more than 3 hours on that site, reading the entries.

Through the weekend, I always had that website in a tab on Firefox and went around telling my friends about the new website I discovered and its contents.

IE popularly known as Internet Explorer was the only popular browser back in
the mid 90s. It was always the best browser, rated above Netscape Navigator and all the others.In 1999 it was the best browser and was used by almost everyone who had access to the Internet. But this situation did not prevail too long. All the internet spammers and spywares started attacking it as it was very vulnerable and most commonly used. The codes of IE were cracked by several hackers across the world and unwanted stuffs were added. This was the time when many people started switching over to php and xml based browsers like Opera,Mozilla etc.,taking this into notice mozilla.org started an opensource project. Originally titled Phoenix, it was renamed because of trademark issues with Phoenix Technologies.The replacement name, Firebird, provoked an intense response from the Firebird free database software project. Then the Mozilla Foundation stated that the browser should always bear the name Mozilla Firebird to avoid confusion with the database software. As it encountered problems from the database server's development community forced another change; on February 9,2004, Mozilla Firebird became Mozilla Firefox, often referred to as simply Firefox and sometimes abbreviated as Fx .Fx's first version came out on Nov 9,2004. Fx was aimed to build a browser which will overcome almost all the problems faced by IE. And yes it did, now Mozilla Firefox is the second best browser in the world. Now as Netscape Navigator has been closed by its company its fans are also turning their attention towards Firefox as many of the features are similar.
There are many reasons why Firefox still prevails to be the best. As i was searching on this topic I found a website where the owner had given reasons why people use firefox.

#7: Options.
Fx's options are better arranged than IE which makes the users to change them without much difficulty.

#8: Pages get loaded faster in Fx than in IE.

#9:Added advantage.
The Mozilla project is an Open Source project where thousands of independent programmers can work on finding security holes before they are exploited.

#10:You can easily block the images with a right click and selecting block image option.

Rain favours our college.

For the past few days there has been heavy pour in my area as a disastrous cyclone hit the coast.The death toll has kept increasing due to the heavy floods and acres of land has been devasted by this deadly rain.Yesterday was declared as a state holiday and all schools and colleges were not functioning except mine.My college had some 'extraordinary guts' to keep it working.We had to go to the classes drenched.The roads that lead to my department building were simply flooded.I had a wicked idea of bunking the classes too.But a funny incident took place on the way to our mess for lunch.A guy happened to slip into a big pool of water and was totally soaked.It seemed that he never took bath for the past three days(According to his friend's comment).In my hostel,like the other collage hostels people wake up late in the morning and never find time to take bath.Some never brush their teeth(these dosent include me).And not to say anything at times like this when the water is cold and the temperature outside is freezing.They say everything happens for a reason.A good one.and i discovered one good reason why we had college yesterday.I think it was in a way useful because people who usually don take bath are forced to go in rain to the classes and eventually they get to have what i call a 'pseudo bath'.And may be this could help us to have Stink Free classes.But still,what do we do about the people who dint have a bath but had a umbrella and the poeple who never had a bath and bunked their classes during rain?.We could probably plead to them to take bath or we just hold our breath when they walk past us.And i think water conservation is not much essential in rainy days like this and that too in this way.!!!

Hope this blog goes on well..My previous blogs were idle and i did nothing with them.Got frustrated and deleted one too.And after that i got inspiration from one of my friend who was in the same situation previously and now he is doing a pretty good job(Better than me) with his blog.
